My Little "Thriller!"

Every since the death of Michael Jackson, his videos and music have been playing constantly. My little daughter, not quite two yet, is very taken with his Thriller video and song. I cannot get into my car without her saying "monster, please! monster, please!" It is the cutest thing!! She then has to watch the video at least 3 times a week...her favourite part, of course, is when the zombies come out, and then dance. She is not even afraid! I cannot believe how much she is taken with it...it is hilarious! She dances away, and bends her knees and sticks them forward, and says "Thriller!" (well, her version anyway)
If a different song comes on in the car, it's "No! Monster please!" Needless to say, I am going to get tired of that song soon! But it's well worth it!

How To Get Your Toddler To Eat

My now 22 month old is a VERY picky eater. The things she used to like before she turned 1 she now does not (I know this happens). However, I feel she is not getting enough. What she does eat, she doesn't eat a lot of. She is only starting to eat "real" bananas and strawberries (she still eats baby jar fruits) and NO vegetables (again, only from the jar). She is also wanting her milk from the bottle, and will only drink it warm. She does use her sippy cup for juice and water, however. Please send me suggestions on how I can help her get the nutrition she needs!!

Kids Do The Darnest Things!

As every parent knows, babies and kids can be the most wonderful 'little angels' in the world, and at other times, can be little devils. We all have stories to share, some funny, some sad, but one thing is for sure...WE ALL LOVE TO TALK ABOUT OUR KIDS!!

I have a 21 month old girl, first child, and have discovered the reality of parenting. But it's true what they say...it's different when it's your own!!
She is the light of my life, through the good times and bad, and I can't imagine my life ever without her.

Rachel is our 'miracle' baby, as we tried for 3 years to have a child...nothing wrong with either one of us, but the 3rd artificial insemination combined with giving myself those injections, our little girl was created. I'm sure others like me have similar stories to share, so I encourage you to tell them, share your concerns, questions and anything else you would like to talk about. We can all learn from each other, so let's start blogging!!
